A lot of people from church are just about to leave, mostly internationals who are going back home, and others who are just continuing their ministry elsewhere in the world. I went to Midweek last night for the prayer meeting; we mostly sat around, sharing chocolates and jelly babies in between saying prayers for each other and the church ( Read more... )

At the same time as our carol service today we had people coming to a separate talk near to us - it was by a Sex Guru, and there were very obvious signs that said this too. Lots of Eastern Europeans were flocking into the Institute of Education for it; it was hard to know who was there for church and who wasn't.

I spent a lot of the day at Battersea Park for the Diamond Jubilee Festival; the weather was pretty poor, and the trains were predictably crowded, but it was good fun when we got there, even though someone decided to hover by a bench so they could bag it and didn’t bother to move even though we were walking towards it wanting somewhere to sit with ( Read more... )
